Best Sports Bars in the Southwest Suburbs (and Where to Get Good Wings on Game Day)
You get a seat with a clear look at your game, a basket of wings that's actually worth it, and a room full of people yelling at the same TV you are. That's a good Sunday.
Here's what you may not realize. The right spot depends on what kind of game day you want.
One sports bar in Joliet has 45 HD TVs. A bar in Mokena does $1 wings on Sundays. And one of the best plates of wings you'll find out here comes from a place in Manhattan that doesn't even call itself a sports bar.
What are the best sports bars in the southwest suburbs?
For the most screens, it's Heroes West Sports Grill in Joliet, with 45 HD TVs, or its Lemont location with bowling and billiards. For wing deals, Jamo's Live in Mokena and Jameson's Pub off Saint Francis Road both run Sunday wing specials. For a family game day with room outside, 3 Corners Grill & Tap in New Lenox has a big patio by the pond. And if you want great wings with the game on in the background, Midtown Bar and Grill in Manhattan is worth the drive. Every spot here shows recent activity on its own site or social pages, so you aren't driving to a dark parking lot.
Where can you watch every game at once?
Heroes West Sports Grill (Joliet). At 1530 Commerce Ln., Heroes West has been around since 2007, and it's built for you if you need three games on at the same time. You'll get 45 HD TVs, and if you're weighing a move to Joliet, that's a pretty good answer to where you'll watch the game. The jumbo wings come with nine sauces for you to pick from.
Heroes West Sports Grill (Lemont). The newer Heroes West, at 1015 State St., opened in 2022 with 23 HD TVs, billiards and bowling. That makes it the easy pick when half your group cares about the game and the other half doesn't. If you're thinking about moving to Lemont, it's a good sign the town's got more than one way to spend a Sunday.
Double "J" Sports Bar (Joliet). At 1001 Essington Rd., Double J's got 20-plus screens and game-day specials, and it just passed 25 years in business. You don't last that long unless the regulars keep coming back.
Jameson's Pub (Saint Francis Road). It's at 9545 W. Saint Francis Rd., with a Frankfort mailing address. You'll find dozens of HD TVs and the premium sports packages, so the out-of-market game you're after is probably on. On Sundays, wings are $10 for eight, dine-in only.
Where are the best wing deals?
Jamo's Live (Mokena). At 10160 191st St., Jamo's runs $1 wings every football Sunday, with a 10-wing minimum, plus bucket and Bloody Mary specials. Now, it's really a live-music venue first, with shows on the calendar into December, but on a Sunday the game's the show. For anyone house hunting in Mokena, a place that does both is a pretty good preview of the town.
3 Corners Grill & Tap (Lemont and New Lenox). There's no wing special here, just good wings, bone-in or boneless. You get eight sauces and two dry rubs, which is the biggest menu of flavors on this list. The original's at 12371 Derby Rd. in Lemont, open since 2010.
Specials change, so check before you head out. The ones above are what each spot listed as of October 18, 2026.
Where's the best family game day?
3 Corners Grill & Tap (New Lenox). The New Lenox location, at 901 E. Lincoln Hwy., has the largest patio of the bunch, a view of the pond and a second outdoor bar. On a nice fall Saturday, that's where you'll want the kids, not wedged into a booth.
Tom Kelly's Chophouse & Pub (New Lenox). At 495 Degroate Rd., Tom Kelly's does game day and hosts local softball teams, so it feels more like a neighborhood spot than a sports bar. It's a good fit when you're bringing Grandma too.
Where can you get live music with the game?
Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill (Homer Glen). At 13031 W. 143rd St., Mugshots books bands and keeps its event calendar full through Halloween. It's the pick when you want the game early and a band after. If you're settling into Homer Glen, this is where your Friday night already is.
Jamo's Live in Mokena belongs here too. It's the one place on this list where the music gets top billing.
Is there a spot that isn't really a sports bar?
Midtown Bar and Grill (Manhattan). At 100 S. State St., Midtown isn't really a sports bar, but the TVs are on, the game's on, and the wings are fantastic. They're worth your trip on their own. It's the spot for you when you'd like a game in the background without the noise of 45 screens.
What about the chains?
If you'd rather go with what you know, you've got Buffalo Wild Wings, with locations in Frankfort, New Lenox, Orland Park and Shorewood. Miller's Ale House in Orland Park has 60-plus TVs, and there's a Wings Etc. in Minooka.
The Bottom Line
Pick the game day first, then the bar. For screens, you'll want Heroes West in Joliet, and for a cheap Sunday, try Jamo's or Jameson's. For the kids, sit on the 3 Corners patio in New Lenox. For a band after the game, Mugshots. And if you want the best wings out here, it's Midtown in Manhattan.
Beecher, Channahon, Lockport, Manteno, Minooka, Monee, Orland Hills, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Peotone, Shorewood and Tinley Park all got checked too. They've got bars, but none of them showed enough recent proof it's open and running game days the way it says, so they sit out this round. That's not a knock on any of those towns. You may already have your favorite there, and if you do, I'd like to hear it.
